Role Description
This is a full or part-time, on-site role for a Direct Support Professional located throughout Massachusetts. Responsibilities include providing compassionate, hands-on care and assistance to individuals with diverse abilities, supporting their daily living activities, and ensuring their overall well-being. Additional tasks involve implementing individualized care plans, facilitating skill development, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe, supportive environment. The position requires active collaboration with team members, effective communication, and adherence to program policies.
Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge in Human Services and supporting individuals with diverse abilities, including intellectual disabilities
- Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills to effectively engage with individuals, families, and team members
- Capacity to deliver Training and guidance tailored to individual needs and goals
- Empathetic and patient, with a commitment to fostering independence and empowerment
- Ability to follow support plans and maintain a safe and structured environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in related fields are a plus
- Previous experience in Direct Support roles or similar is preferred but not required
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be necessary based on program needs
