Position: Community Based Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Location: Eliot, Maine

Hours / Schedule:

Thursday (7am – 9pm) & Friday (3pm – 9pm)

Total Hours: 14-20 hours per week:

Status: Part Time: $17.00/Hour, plus $15/day, for transportation!

Client Description:

We are seeking a home-based DSP with potential for some community-based time to work one on one with 1 of our adult (mid 30’s) individuals in the Eliot area. We are looking for someone who is very active and highly motivated. Strong redirection skills are necessary to support this gentleman. This individual thrives on routine-based, consistent & stable daily activities! He enjoys exercising, including activities such as walking, weightlifting and basketball. He would love to access the local gym, local library, and loves to mow his extensive lawn. This individual is verbal but communicates with assistance at times using his AT device along with his other nonverbal communication skills. He will need some assistance with ADL’s when in home, transportation to appointments and eyes on in community to ensure safety needs are met and that personal boundaries are maintained.

Hiring Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license required & 18 years of age.
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Satisfactory completion of background screening and applicable pre-employment checks
• Vehicle insurance (required to transport client in your vehicle)
