Job Purpose:
- The Receptionist is responsible for creating the ideal first impression for welcoming and registering visitors and guests to LifeCare Hospital and wishing them well on their departure. The role also involves courteously answering telephone calls to ensure efficient communication within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors and guests upon arrival, ensuring a positive and professional first impression.
- Register visitors and guests, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
- Answer all incoming calls professionally, providing attentive customer service while maintaining confidentiality.
- Assist visitors, internal and external customers, with inquiries and direct them to the appropriate departments or personnel.
- Maintain the lobby reception area to ensure it is presentable and welcoming at all times.
- Handle multiple-line switchboard operations efficiently, ensuring smooth communication flow within the hospital.
- Coordinate with hospital staff to facilitate smooth visitor and guest experiences.
- Manage and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages as required.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support hospital operations.
Required Education:

Preferred Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
- Six months of experience in answering a hospital or multiple-line switchboard
Preferred Experience:
- 1-2 years of front desk experience in a high guest contact environment (e.g., hospitality environment)
