Job Purpose:
- Help fuel an unforgettable camp experience for youth living with diabetes by ensuring nutritious and delicious meals are prepared and served efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with meal and snack preparation to ensure timely and nutritious offerings for campers.
- Support large-scale meal service, ensuring that all campers receive their meals promptly.
- Follow food safety and sanitation practices to maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment.
- Help with portioning and consistency to ensure meals meet dietary guidelines and standards.
- Work alongside a registered dietitian and healthcare team to accommodate the nutritional needs of campers with diabetes.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education:
- Coursework in nutrition or culinary arts
Required Experience:
- Experience in food service or kitchen environments
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to assist in large-scale meal preparation and service
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience working alongside a registered dietitian or healthcare team
- Completion of nutrition or culinary coursework
- ServSafe certification
Required Skills and Abilities:
