Description
Job Purpose:
- The Screening Services Certified Nurse Practitioner at LIFECARE ALLIANCE provides clinical, consultative, and administrative support to improve patient outcomes. The role involves complex work requiring independence, flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform physical exams and cancer screening tests following established cancer screening guidelines.
- Diagnose and treat selected common health problems within the Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) scope of practice.
- Consult with the collaborating physician for management of problems beyond the CNP scope of practice.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Current Ohio APRN License
Required Experience:
- 2 years of APRN experience in area of certification
- Certified Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult Nurse Practitioner
Preferred Experience:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
- Proficient with an electronic health record (EHR)
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a wide variety of individuals and groups
- Ability to interact effectively with clinic staff, clients, donors, board members, other agency staff, volunteers, and the general public
- Ability to work independently
