Job Purpose:
- The Lead Production Cook is responsible for the preparation and production of large-batch meals in a high-volume production kitchen. This position ensures food is prepared according to standardized recipes, food safety regulations, and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook large-scale recipes accurately and efficiently.
- Read, interpret, and execute standardized large-batch production recipes.
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment including steam kettles.
- Operate and monitor blast chiller equipment.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Required Experience:
- Experience in preparing and cooking large-scale recipes accurately and efficiently
- Ability to read, interpret, and execute standardized large-batch production recipes
- Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment including steam kettles
- Experience operating and monitoring blast chiller equipment
Preferred Experience:
- Previous large-batch cooking experience preferred
- Steam kettle experience preferred
- Blast chiller experience preferred
