Medical Practice Representative
Location: Sinai Hospital
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
No weekends or holidays
Position Summary:
Sinai Hospital is seeking a dedicated Medical Office Representative to join our team at the Sinai Hospital. This full-time role supports the daily operations of a dynamic cancer care environment by delivering exceptional administrative and front-desk support to patients, providers, and staff. Responsibilities:

Answer and direct incoming calls, take messages, and provide assistance as needed

Serve as the super user for all desk phones and manage a 6-line phone system

Use the EMR communication tool to relay accurate and detailed patient messages to clinicians

Greet and check in patients; queue arrivals in the EMR promptly and accurately

Maintain and order office and dietary supplies; manage copy machine and printer upkeep

Perform clerical duties including scanning, faxing, mailing, and photocopying documents

Process inpatient fee tickets and manage department mail and communications

Coordinate pre-authorizations, including communication with radiology, providers, patients, and insurers

Prepare accurate specialty referrals and ensure all necessary documentation is obtained

Collaborate closely with the scheduling team and providers to support patient care

Prepare documents for scanning and maintain integrity and accuracy in EMR indexing

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and seek clarity on new assignments
Qualifications:

Experience: 1–3 years in a medical office or healthcare environment required

Proficient in using multi-line phone systems and EMR platforms

Attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
