Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated part-time Pharmacist to join our team on-site at our Bristol, VA location. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing prescribed medications, providing drug information, counseling patients on medication usage, monitoring patient health and wellness, maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations, and ensuring accurate preparation of pharmaceutical orders. You will play a key role in ensuring the health and safety of our customers while delivering exceptional service in a community-focused environment.
Qualifications
- Knowledge in pharmaceutical practices, including prescription verification, medication dispensing, and inventory management
- Strong interpersonal skills to counsel patients effectively and communicate with healthcare professionals
- Familiarity with pharmacy systems and technology, including prescription software and databases
- Attention to detail and organizational skills for ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
- Valid pharmacist licensure in the state of Virginia
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Experience in compounding or specialty pharmacy services is a plus
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent professional pharmacy degree
