Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans.
- Operate EMR systems accurately for documentation of care activities and progress notes
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning duties and infection control practices
- Drive residents to appointments or community outings while ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Implement behavior management techniques and conflict resolution strategies to foster a positive living environment
- Collaborate with case management teams to develop, review, and update individualized care plans
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality of resident information at all times
- Respond promptly to emergencies by administering first aid or CPR when necessary
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, home care, hospice, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and EMR systems is advantageous
- Strong understanding of behavioral health techniques.
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties; clean driving record preferred
- Certification in first aid and CPR required or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Excellent conflict management skills with a compassionate approach toward residents’ diverse needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
