Summary
Join Life Source Services Hospice as an On Call Nurse, where your expertise will directly contribute to providing comfort and dignity for patients during their most vulnerable moments. This role is based in the Baton Rouge & surrounding areas and offers a flexible schedule with 7 days on duty and 7 days off duty.
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate patient care tailored to individual needs
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop personalized care plans.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and care procedures.
- Keep detailed records of medical histories and treatment progress.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license in the state of Louisiana.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse.
- EMR experience.
- Proven experience in patient care, hospice nursing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and hospice documentation standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Compassionate, attentive, and able to work independently.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
- Home Care Home Base EMR experience is a plus.
