About the Role
We're hiring a part-time Life Skills Coach to work one-on-one with a young adult client starting his first year of college in the Santa Clarita area this fall. This is a consistent, relationship-based coaching role built around a weekly Saturday in-person session and a mid-week Zoom check-in.
You'll be the on-the-ground coach in the client's day-to-day life, helping him build sustainable routines around independence, executive function, and self-advocacy. You'll work alongside our founder and the client's family as part of a coordinated support team.

- One 1-hour weekday Zoom check-in (day and time flexible)
- Total: ~3.5 hours/week
- Start date: Fall 2026, aligned with the academic year
- Commitment: Full academic year, with option to continue
What You'll Do
- Lead weekly in-person coaching sessions focused on life skills (scheduling, transportation, personal wellness, self-advocacy, campus navigation)
- Facilitate a mid-week Zoom check-in to reinforce goals and troubleshoot
- Help the client build and maintain a calendar system across Outlook, phone, and a handwritten planner
- Support the client in accessing campus resources (disability services, tutoring, study labs)
- Communicate regularly with the LSC founder and the client's family
- Participate in quarterly team check-ins with the client, family, and LSC leadership
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in psychology, education, social work, or a related field

- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to pass a full background check
- Commitment to the full academic year
Preferred:
- Experience with neurodivergent young adults or clients with executive function challenges
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook or calendar-based planning systems
- RBT certification or prior ABA experience
Who Thrives in This Role
Reliable, warm, and patient with the slow work of building independence. Comfortable working with both a client and their family. Consistent and communicative. Graduate students, early-career professionals, and part-time behavior technicians are encouraged to apply.
Compensation & Onboarding
- $40–50/hour based on experience, paid biweekly (W-2)
