Recovery Support Peer Specialist
Location: Dallas, Texas
Schedule:Contract to Full-Time | Monday–Friday, weekends as needed.

Our programs-including Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP)-provide structured, evidence-based care designed to support long-term recovery, personal growth, and community reintegration.
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Recovery Support Peer Specialist to join our clinical team. This role focuses on identifying clients in need of peer-oriented recovery support services, helping clients maintain sobriety, develop life skills, and access community resources. The Recovery Support Peer Specialist works collaboratively with licensed counselors to ensure recovery support is integrated into treatment and aftercare plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide recovery-oriented support to clients in IOP, PHP, and continuing care programs.
- Facilitate peer support groups, relapse prevention workshops, and aftercare planning sessions.
- Assist clients in accessing community resources, housing, employment, peer-support networks, and sober living programs.
- Collaborate with licensed counselors and clinical staff to integrate recovery support into treatment and discharge plans.
- Monitor client progress and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
- Promote and model a culture of recovery, hope, respect, and accountability.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and program development initiatives.
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in human services, addiction studies, or a related field preferred.
- TCBAP Recovery Support Peer Specialist (RSPS/PRSS) certification preferred, but not required.
- Experience providing recovery support services in a chemical dependency or addiction treatment setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and engage clients.
- Ability to collaborate with clinical staff, follow program policies, and maintain professional documentation.
- Personal lived experience in recovery is a plus, but not required.
