Clinical Director–Licensed Chemical Dependency Treatment Facility
Location: Dallas, Texas
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, weekends as needed

Life Point Healthcare Services of Texas is a licensed Chemical Dependency Treatment Facility dedicated to helping individuals reclaim their lives from substance use disorders. We provide structured and compassionate care for adolescents and adults through Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) programs designed to promote long-term recovery, personal growth, and accountability.
We are seeking a Clinical Director who embodies professional integrity, clinical excellence, and leadership vision. This individual will ensure that our programs operate in full compliance with Texas HHSC standards while maintaining the highest level of quality and client care.
Position Overview
The Clinical Director oversees all clinical operations and staff within our chemical dependency programs. This role ensures that services are evidence-based, compliant with state regulations, and delivered with compassion and professionalism. The ideal candidate will possess both hands-on counseling expertise and strong administrative leadership experience in chemical dependency treatment with adolescent and adult populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and supervision of all clinical and counseling staff to ensure compliance with Joint Commission and HHSC requirements.
- Manage daily clinical operations of IOP and PHP programs, ensuring the quality and effectiveness of treatment services, facilitating programming if necessary.
- Conduct clinical supervision for LCDCs and counselor interns; review and approve clinical documentation and treatment plans.
- Oversee client admission, assessment, treatment planning, and discharge processes to ensure regulatory and ethical compliance.
- Monitor documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to ASAM criteria and facility policies.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director on program development, staffing, training, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Ensure implementation of evidence-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered treatment approaches.
- Participate in policy development, staff training, and compliance audits.
- Uphold and model professional ethics,
- confidentiality, and leadership standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must meet HHSC’s definition of a Qualified Credentialed Counselor (QCC) under 25 TAC §448.401, which includes:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist/Physician with relevant experience in chemical dependency treatment.
- Minimum two years of supervisory or management experience in a licensed chemical dependency treatment facility.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HHSC standards, ASAM placement criteria, and documentation requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to develop staff and foster a positive, accountable team culture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with HHSC and Joint Commission inspections, audits, or licensing compliance.
- Experience working in an IOP and PHP level of care with adolescents and adults.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and data reporting systems.
