Position Summary:

 
Reporting to the Property Manager, painters prepare, paint, refinish, and maintain interior and exterior surfaces across our campus, including resident homes, healthcare areas, offices, and community spaces.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with supervisors, contractors, and team members to ensure timely project completion.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting and repairing imperfections.
  • Use commercial painting equipment and tools safely and effectively to apply paint, stain, varnish and other finishes.
  • Ensure accurate color and finish results.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Work safely and comply with OSHA and company safety protocols. Protect adjacent surfaces.
 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a commercial painter (2 years preferred).
  • Knowledge of painting materials, surface preparation techniques, and application methods.
  • Ability to operate ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and other equipment safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills, with sensitivity to the needs of older adults.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must have a valid Vermont Driver’s license.
Schedule:
 
Monday - Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm 
 

Hiring Range:

  • $22.50 — $28.00 / hour 
(Starting salary is determined based on candidate's experience, education, and relevant skills as well as internal equity considerations.)
