The Van Driver at LIFE Pittsburgh is responsible for providing safe transportation for LIFE Pittsburgh Participants in a timely, competent manner per established protocols and procedures. Ensures participant safety on the vehicle including the use of safety belt restraints, wheelchair and object securement, and monitoring of safe transport behaviors. Responsible for vehicle inspections for safe operations and records. Ensures adherence to scheduled transports for safe and timely movement of participants to and from the center, to external appointments and other locations as indicated. Responsible for strong communication with interdisciplinary team and transportation department to ensure optimal safety, care and service. Valid High School Diploma Required. Must have possession of valid PA driver's license and a clean driving record from prior two years. One year of experience transporting geriatric, frail or disabled passengers is required.
