Life Martial Arts is hiring three dependable, safety-minded After-School Drivers to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
· Be dependable, punctual, patient, and safety-conscious
· Enjoy working with children from Pre-K through seventh grade
· Take direction willingly and provide reliable follow-through
· Respond to changing situations with flexibility, creativity, and good judgment
· Work collaboratively with coworkers and families
· Communicate calmly and professionally
· Observe all health and safety regulations
· Be comfortable driving a 15-passenger van
Schedule:
· Monday–Friday, approximately 2:00–4:45 p.m.
· An additional 1–2 hours each week for team meetings or training
· Approximately 12-15 hours per week
· Starting Pay $16/hour.
· Opportunity to earn up to $20/hr.
- After completing an assigned school pickup route, drivers have the opportunity to remain at Life Martial Arts and help supervise after school students as an After School Program Assistant.
- This would involve leading planned activities, and support our instructors until the program closes at 6:30pm.
- This position allows you to have a positive impact on the lives of children through Bible lessons, character development and helping students make friends. Help us help kids have fun while learning to become the best version of themselves.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Safely transport students from their school to Life Martial Arts
· Follow assigned routes, schedules, attendance procedures, and student-release policies
· Conduct required vehicle safety checks and maintain a clean, orderly vehicle
· Properly supervise students while loading, riding, and unloading
· Communicate professionally with LMA staff, school personnel, students, and families
· Notify management immediately of delays, vehicle concerns, behavioral issues, or emergencies
· Program Assistant Opportunity: [After Driving]
- Assist with student check-in and transition into the after-school program
- Actively supervise students during classroom, martial arts, recreational, and outdoor activities
- Help lead games, drills, enrichment activities, and structured rotations
- Maintain appropriate discipline for student safety and learning
- Ensure that all Life Martial Arts and After-School Program policies are followed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Driver Requirements:
· Valid Texas driver’s license
· Clean and acceptable driving record
· Ability to safely operate an LMA 15 Passenger Van
· Ability to pass any required driver qualification or vehicle training
· Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
· Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
· CPR and First Aid certification is preferred or must be obtained after hiring. LMA will pay for this.
Prior experience driving children, operating passenger vans, working in childcare, teaching, coaching, martial arts, or youth ministry is helpful but not required.
