Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Doctor of Physical Therapist (DPT) to join our upstart healthcare and wellness team. Our team focuses on neurology, orthopedics and sports medicine and sports performance. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care through the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various physical conditions. This role requires expertise in developing individualized care plans that promote recovery and enhance the quality of life for patients across different age groups, including pediatrics and geriatrics. The DPT will oversee the work performed by Masters of Physical Therapy (PT) and collaborate with other health and wellness professionals in the areas of Cognitive and Physical Health and Sports Performance. The DPT will work in various settings, including inpatient, and at our physical space based in Los Feliz, CA.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans that address specific patient goals.
- Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including trigger point therapy and physiotherapy modalities.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, exercises, and recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Document patient progress using EMR systems while adhering to medical terminology standards.
- Participate in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions from acute care settings to home or community care.
- Maintain knowledge of anatomy and physiology to inform treatment approaches for orthopedic conditions.
- Order and interpret certain diagnostic tests, like X-rays and MRIs, and perform specific interventions
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in physical therapy.
Experience
Candidates should possess a strong background in physical therapy with experience in the following areas:
- Discharge planning and acute care settings
- Developing care plans for diverse patient populations
- Pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, athletes and outpatient clinic experience
- Home & community care experience
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation purposes
- Knowledgeable in advanced anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
- A solid understanding of medical terminology related to physical therapy practices

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $100.00 - $250.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
