Life IV Weight Loss is a rapidly growing medical weight management practice serving clients across Michigan, and Ohio. We combine evidence-based treatment, GLP-1 medications and weight loss medications, nutrition guidance, and supportive coaching to help clients achieve long-term success. As our client base continues expanding, we are adding an in-office Registered Dietician to provide individualized nutrition services.
This is a 1099 contractor position with per-patient-visit compensation, offering maximum flexibility and zero hourly or salary commitment.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Registered Dietician (RD/RDN) to join our team as a PPV (per-patient-visit) independent contractor. You will provide in-office nutrition counseling to both cash-pay and insurance-covered clients, with services billed through our clinic’s NPI.
We will handle your credentialing and enrollment with our contracted insurers.
This is a great opportunity for an RD who wants flexibility or supplemental income without the commitment of a full-time schedule.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individualized nutrition assessments and follow-up visits
- Provide counseling for weight loss, behavior change, and weight loss medication–supportive eating
- Create tailored nutrition plans based on client goals and clinical needs
- Document visits in our cloud-based EHR
- Deliver care consistent with professional RD standards
- Collaborate with the Nurse Practitioner, Physician, and clinical team
Compensation
This is a per-patient-visit (PPV), productivity-based 1099 contractor role.
Compensation includes:
- Cash-pay clients: Paid at a set PPV rate
- Insurance clients: Paid a percentage or flat rate per completed reimbursable visit

You receive payment from Life IV Weight Loss, not directly from insurers.
Qualifications
- Active RD/RDN credential (required)
- Michigan licensure (required)
- Ohio licensure (preferred)
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Experience with weight management preferred but not required
- Completion of CAQH profile (or willingness to complete)
- Must carry or be willing to obtain professional liability insurance
- Ability to work independently within a 1099 contractor role
Insurance Billing & Credentialing
Life IV Weight Loss will:
- Add you to our group NPI
- Complete credentialing with participating insurance plans
- Bill insurance for eligible services (e.g., MNT codes 97802/97803)
You simply provide the clinical service — we handle the billing.

- Flexible, based on your availability
- Visits offered Monday–Friday during clinic hours
- No minimum hours required
- Hybrid charting (in-office visits with remote charting allowed)
Work Location
- In-office at Life IV Weight Loss (Tecumseh, MI)
- Cloud-based charting may be completed remotely

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
