Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including homes, assisted living facilities, and group homes. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for those in your care by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide patient care and support for individuals with varying needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and autism.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in the client's condition to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Administer medication as prescribed and assist with care plans to meet individual needs.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary.
- Document care provided and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, nursing homes, or hospice care is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is essential; certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs is required.
- Experience working with individuals who have disabilities or special needs is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients as needed.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
