About the Role:

The Program Coordinator in Frederick plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of various programs within the organization. This position involves overseeing project timelines, managing resources, and facilitating communication among team members and stakeholders. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring program progress and implementing necessary adjustments to meet objectives effectively. Additionally, this role requires the development of reports and presentations to communicate program outcomes and insights to leadership, OHCQ, PCP and other external parties. Ultimately, the Program Coordinator contributes to the overall mission of the organization by ensuring that programs are aligned with DDA guidelines and LifeGate's mission.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in program coordination or project management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with program evaluation and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.

Responsibilities:

    We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Program Coordinator to lead and manage impactful community programs in Frederick, MD.     Duties

    • Develop, implement, and evaluate community programs aligned with organizational goals
    • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to support program activities
    • Coordinate logistics for events, workshops, and outreach sessions to maximize participation
    • Manage social media platforms and marketing campaigns to raise awareness and promote programs
    • Collect and analyze data to measure program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
    • Facilitate public speaking engagements to promote programs and build community partnerships
    • Oversee administrative tasks including scheduling, reporting, and maintaining records of activities

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in volunteer management and supervising teams
    • Strong background in program development, project management, and social media management
    • Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
    • Knowledge of DDA, COMAR, or additional DDA background
    • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in recruiting and training staff or volunteers
    • Ability to manage multiple units and staff simultaneously with attention to detail
    • Experience in fundraising, marketing, data collection, and administrative functions
    • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public health, community development or related field preferred; relevant experience considered in lieu of education
