Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is hiring a Territory Sales Representative to own and grow a Northern California territory, with Health Clubs as the primary revenue driver, supported by YMCA and athleticsdriven collegiate and campus recreation customers. In this remote, field‑based role, you’ll lead consultative, relationship‑driven sales, reengage underdeveloped accounts, and position Life Fitness / Hammer Strength as the long‑term partner of choice across a diverse customer base.

As a Territory Sales Representative at Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, you will:

  • Own and grow a Northern California territory, driving the majority of revenue through Health Club accounts, with additional focus on YMCA and campus recreation environments.
  • Maintain a strong in‑market presence, with an expectation of spending approximately three days per week in the field meeting customers, supporting projects, and advancing active opportunities across the territory
  • Lead long‑cycle, consultative sales processes with executives, facility leaders, athletic stakeholders, and multi‑stakeholder buying groups
  • Reengage dormant, underpenetrated, or competitive accounts and convert established relationships into active pipeline
  • Balance repeat Health Club business with project‑based campus and community opportunities, aligning equipment solutions to customer goals and facility needs
  • Partner with designers, consultants, and customer stakeholders to support planning, layouts, and capital investment cycles
  • Manage pipeline, forecasting, and territory priorities with strong CRM discipline

What Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is looking for in our Territory Sales Representative:

  • 3 years of field sales or account management experience
  • Proven consultative selling and relationship-building skills
  • Experience managing large, geographically dispersed territories
  • Comfort navigating multi-stakeholder, long sales cycles and capital equipment deals
  • CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred)
  • Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Northern California
  • Northern California residence strongly preferred

Preferred / Nice To Have

  • Experience selling into Health Clubs, YMCA, Campus Recreation, or collegiate athletics environments
  • Exposure to fitness, wellness, or capital equipment solutions
  • Experience working with designers, consultants, or project-based sales cycles
  • Experience reengaging dormant, underperforming, or competitive accounts
  • Familiarity with institutional, education, or athletics purchasing processes

At Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we believe in taking care of our team with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive pay and a range of valuable benefits. The salary range for this position, intended for U.S. applicants, is $47,500 - $64,800 annually.The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of San Francisco, CA and the actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.This position is eligible to participate in Life Fitness / Hammer Strength’s Sales Incentive Plan with monthly commission eligibility, in addition to base salary. The amount of any commission and bonus varies based on attainment of individual performance goals and other relevant factors, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.This position is eligible to receive a vehicle allowance to offset the costs of using a personal vehicle for business related purposes.

Life Fitness / Hammer Strength offers a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time team members, including, but not limited to: a 401(k) savings plan with 4% employer match; medical, dental and vision insurance, parental, medical and military leaves of absence, paid time off, including 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, paid vacation days beginning at 13 days annually, paid sick leave as provided under state and local paid sick leave laws, company paid short-term disability and optional long-term disability, health savings account, health care and dependent care reimbursement accounts, employee and dependent life insurance and supplemental life and AD&D insurance, hospital indemnity; identity protection, legal services, adoption assistance, tuition assistance, commuter benefits, employee discounts, and an employee assistance program that includes free counseling sessions. Eligibility for benefits is governed by the applicable plan documents and policies.
