Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and HAES-aligned Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide individualized nutrition counseling to clients with a variety of needs, including chronic health conditions and general wellness goals. You will collaborate with clients to develop personalized, non-diet nutrition plans that honor their lived experiences, promote health and well-being, and align with HAES principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one nutrition counseling to clients using a weight-inclusive, non-diet approach.
- Develop personalized nutrition care plans that focus on improving health and well-being rather than weight manipulation.
- Educate clients on topics such as intuitive eating, body respect, food flexibility, and joyful movement.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers (e.g., therapists, physicians, and other dietitians) to ensure integrated and holistic client care.
- Support clients in building sustainable, health-promoting behaviors that align with their goals and values.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of client progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Actively contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture that reflects our practice’s mission and values.
- Stay current with research and best practices in weight-inclusive care, disordered eating treatment, and HAES principles.
- Participate in staff meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities.
- Facilitate nutrition groups on various topics
Qualifications
- Required:
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential
- Licensure in Nebraska
- 2 years minimum experience as a RDN
- Experience working with diabetes
- Strong understanding of and alignment with Health at Every Size® (HAES) principles and weight-inclusive care.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for clients of all body sizes, backgrounds, and identities.
- Preferred:
- Master's degree
- Experience in outpatient or private practice settings
- Experience working with disordered eating, gastrointestinal conditions, enteral nutrition and/or pediatrics
