At Life Counseling Center we are dedicated to serving children, adolescents, adults, couples and families in our community by providing them exceptional care and outstanding support. Life Counseling Center provides behavioral health wrap-around services such as counseling, case management services, community-based rehabilitation, respite services. target care coordination, peer and family support and developmental disability services.
We are looking for energetic, dependable, and client-care minded individuals to join our excellent team. A professional, warm, patient, and outgoing demeanor is a must since you will be interacting with students and their families. The ideal candidate will have excellent social skills, communication skills (i.e. face to face, verbal and written communication), tactfulness, take initiative, strong organization skills and be detail oriented.
The Behavioral Interventionist is an employee position and provides services to children ages 6-18 in a school environment. The Behavior Interventionist supports children in developing new skills and assists them with refining skills they have already acquired. Experience in working in the developmental disabilities field is strongly preferred.
Minimum Qualifications include:
- Must have a minimum of 1-year of supervised experience with individuals with developmental disabilities
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in a human service related field (i.e. Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Human Development, or Special Education).
· Reliable transportation
Additional Qualification needed either before or after an employment contract has been agreed upon:
· Pass a criminal background check through the Department of Health and Welfare
· Become certified for First Aid and CPR within 90 days of hire, and maintain certification throughout employment
· Must be able to complete the behavior intervention specialist competency check list provided by the Department of Health and Welfare.
Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
