What You’ll Do
Clinical & Nursing Care
Provide direct nursing care in a residential crisis setting
Conduct nursing assessments at admission and throughout stay
Monitor physical and mental health status
Respond to medical and behavioral concerns
Medication Management
- Administer medications as prescribed
- Monitor for side effects and effectiveness
- Maintain accurate Medication Administration Records (MAR)
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in EMR
- Document assessments, interventions, and changes in condition
- Ensure compliance with DBHDS and regulatory standards
- Take and record vital signs as required
- Perform basic physical assessments (skin checks, respiratory, etc.)
- Monitor pain levels and report concerns
- Work closely with clinicians, supervisors, and leadership
- Assist with discharge planning and follow-up care
- Support individualized service plans
- Support individuals in crisis using de-escalation and therapeutic communication
- Maintain a calm, structured, and safe environment

Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with meal preparation and basic cooking for residents
- Supporting light housekeeping duties (cleaning common areas, ensuring cleanliness of the home)
- Encouraging and modeling daily living skills for residents
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Maintain confidentiality (HIPAA/PHI compliance)
- Adhere to all company and DBHDS regulations
Required
- Active LPN or RN license in Virginia
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Reliable and professional
- 24/7 residential setting
- Must be available for:
- Evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays (as needed)
- High-interaction role working with individuals in crisis
