What are the responsibilities and job description for the CHILDCARE WORKER/CAREGIVER/ASSISTANT TEACHER position at LIFE CONSTRUCTION LEARNING ACADEMY?
Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of all toddlers and preschoolers at all times.
Support toddlers and preschool physical, emotional, social, and developmental needs through nurturing and responsive care.
Change diapers and pull-ups properly and safely, following all health, sanitation, and licensing guidelines.
Clean and wipe children thoroughly during diaper changes using appropriate techniques.
Sanitize diaper-changing areas before and after each use and dispose of diapers and wipes correctly.
Accurately document all diaper changes, pull-up checks, and potty-training attempts, meal times, sleep time etc.
Assist and support toddlers with potty training, including scheduled potty breaks, encouragement, and positive reinforcement.
Promote proper handwashing, hygiene, and self-help skills before and after diapering and toileting.
Implement age-appropriate activities that support language, motor, and social development.
Maintain consistent daily schedules and routines to support toddlers and preschoolers sense of security.
Use positive behavior guidance and redirection appropriate for all of the children.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized classroom, equipment, and toys.
Follow all LCLA policies, health regulations, and emergency safety procedures.
Build positive, nurturing relationships with the children, families, and center staff.
Communicate diapering routines, potty-training progress, and health or behavioral concerns to the Director and families as needed.

Pay: $9.50 - $10.00 per hour
