Position Overview
Life Connections is seeking a Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) Provider to support children and families in developing behavioral, emotional, and social regulation skills. This role focuses on helping clients build positive coping strategies and behavioral skills that improve success at home, school, and in the community.
BHIS providers primarily work with school-aged children, with sessions typically scheduled after school hours and on weekends.
Responsibilities
- Meet consistently with assigned BHIS clients on a weekly basis
- Provide services that help clients reach goals outlined in their treatment plans
- Teach behavioral management and emotional regulation skills
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation for BHIS services
- Attend monthly staff meetings and required supervision sessions
- Maintain professional communication with clients, families, and staff
- Follow HIPAA and confidentiality standards
- Maintain professional ethics and boundaries
- Meet productivity expectations (minimum of 10 billable hours per week or 80% unit utilization)
- Travel to client sessions within 45 miles of the assigned office
- Schedule quarterly clinical supervision and attend monthly clinical meetings
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services-related field
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
- Ability to pass a background check
- Knowledge of BHIS service delivery practices and regulations (training available within 45 days if needed)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to utilize electronic documentation systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while remaining team-oriented
