Role Description
This is a full-time Licensed Professional Counselor role, based in Knoxville, TN and Johnson City, TN. The position operates in a hybrid capacity, allowing a blend of in-office sessions and remote work. Key responsibilities include conducting individual, couples, and family therapy sessions, developing treatment plans, and maintaining detailed client records. The counselor will also provide crisis intervention, collaborate with other professionals, and ensure applicable ethical and legal standards are met.
Qualifications
- Active licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent in the state of Tennessee
. LMFT or LCSW
- Strong therapeutic skills, including individual counseling, couples counseling, and family therapy techniques
- Experience in developing and implementing effective treatment plans
- Excellent communication and active listening skills to build strong client rapport
- Understanding of ethical practices, confidentiality requirements, and legal guidelines in counseling
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records
- Proficiency with technology for conducting remote counseling sessions when needed
- Compassion, cultural sensitivity, and a nonjudgmental approach to client care
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- Experience in faith-based counseling is a plus
