Sign-On Bonus: $500 after 90 days of employment
Available Shifts
Position 1: Overnight Residential Youth Support Specialist
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Days: Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday
- Schedule: Every other week
Position 2: Weekend Day Shift Residential Youth Support Specialist
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Days: Every Saturday and Sunday
- Schedule: Every weekend
Position Overview
Life Connections Youth Residential Homes is seeking compassionate, dependable, and self-motivated individuals to provide care, guidance, and supervision for teenage girls in a residential group home setting.
Many of the youth we serve identify as members of the LGBTQ community. We are seeking individuals who can provide a safe, supportive, respectful, and affirming environment while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and following all agency policies and procedures.
This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about mentoring youth, supporting emotional well-being, and helping young people develop the skills necessary for success.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support for teenage girls in residential care.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive living environment.
- Complete accurate daily documentation, shift reports, and incident reports.
- Assist with conflict resolution, de-escalation, and behavioral support.
- Transport youth to appointments, school, and approved activities as needed.
- Communicate effectively with management, caseworkers, and treatment teams.
- Conduct routine safety and wellness checks throughout assigned shifts.
- Encourage positive behaviors, accountability, and healthy decision-making.
- Support independent living skills, daily routines, and personal development.
- Follow all agency policies, safety protocols, and confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Experience working with youth, behavioral health, social services, childcare, education, or residential care preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and respond appropriately to challenging situations.
- Must demonstrate professionalism, patience, dependability, and sound judgment.
- Must be comfortable working with youth from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Employment Requirements
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Must complete all required DCF fingerprinting requirements.
- Must pass all required pre-employment screenings.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must complete required training and orientation.
