The Director of Bible Partnerships is primarily responsible for building systems and processes to evaluate, support, and expand the highly valued partnerships with our existing Bible Partners while creating innovative ways to strengthen and scale those relationships. This role will also build and lead a team of Bible Partnerships Managers and international contractors. The Director is responsible for collaborating with their leader to cast vision, provide direction, and lead ministry efforts within their area of influence to outcomes that further Life.Church’s mission and reach people for Christ.

What You'll Do
Oversee Global Bible Relationships
  • Steward strategic partnerships that enable the YouVersion family of apps to support the ministry goals of the hundreds of Bible publishers and Bible Societies around the world.
  • Develop and execute strategies to establish and build trusted relationships with Bible Publishers whose content is not currently available to our app users.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for Bible Partnerships initiatives that expand Bible availability and engagement globally.
Manage Collaboration with Bible Operations
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering Teams to ensure clear prioritization is given to systems and processes that streamline workflows and improve tools that serve our Bible Partners.
  • Set expectations and execute exceptional service for Bible Partners of all sizes and types.
  • Create a cadence and process for the evaluation of the health of Bible Partner relationships and develop plans to improve partnerships with relational gaps.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, Content, and other key stakeholders to align priorities and improve the Bible Partner experience.
Lead Team Development
  • Ensure the growth and development of the Bible Partnerships Team, supporting team members practically, professionally, and pastorally.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Bible Partnerships Managers, providing clear direction, accountability, and growth opportunities.
  • Lead the design and implementation of effective systems to onboard, train, oversee, and develop contractors around the world to support relationships with Bible Partners in other regions.
  • Collaborate across all relevant internal teams effectively to advance ministry goals and partnership initiatives.


Skills Needed to Succeed
  • Elite relational skills, strong networking capabilities, and a demonstrated passion for Bible engagement.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to clearly explain complicated processes and foster partnerships.
  • Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions, and solve problems with innovation.
  • Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change.
  • Effective at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision.
  • Strong leadership skills and understanding of developing and guiding others.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working closely with Bible content, publishers, translations, or Bible-focused ministry efforts, with a demonstrated passion for Bible engagement.
