Director of Health Services

The Avalon of Commerce Township offers a unique opportunity to be part of an extraordinary life by investing in the future of senior living. As Director of Health Services, you will oversee all nursing functions within the community, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care for residents.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Supervise healthcare personnel, including hiring, training, evaluating, and counseling within established policies and procedures.
• Oversee Nurse Manager, LPN-LVN-Care Partner, Quality of Life Specialist, Medication Assistant/CMA, and Health Services Associate roles.
• Coordinate schedules for nursing services/personnel as needed.
• Maintain medical charting and required documentation under state regulatory guidelines.
• Represent the department and coordinate the Quality Assurance program for nursing services.
• Assess residents for change in level of care and coordinate billing.
• Work with residents and families to develop and implement Plans of Care.

Qualifications:

• Minimum two years of experience in Nursing, preferably in assisted living or memory care settings.
• Licensed as a Registered or Licensed Nurse in the state of employment.
