Life Balance Counseling Peoria, a private psychotherapy practice in Peoria. We are excited to invite both fully and provisionally licensed therapists (Marriage & Family Therapists, Counselors, and Social Workers) to join our growing practice. We provide individual, couples, family and group therapy within a collaborative, integrated treatment team setting. We have built a system of dynamic, cohesive, and diverse team of specialists to assist our clients to transform their lives, work through their past hurts, heal their wounds, make meaning of their suffering, find their center again, and achieve their goals.

Life Balance Counseling Peoria is seeking full-time or part-time candidates with the following interests:

• WHAT WE DO: Though we work with a wide variety of process and substance addictions and trauma. We specialize with working with addictions to sex, pornography, substance abuse, gaming/gambling. Those with experience working with addictions, 12 step recovery, and/or those affected by addictions is a benefit.
• PARTNER FOCUS: We strongly emphasize working with both parts of the couple with equal emphasis on healing the betrayal trauma resulting from the discovery of spousal addiction, healing from relational infidelity, betrayal, destructive, dysfunctional relationships, and other traumas. We believe psychological trauma is at the root of many compulsive, addictive, or out-of-control behaviors. Therapists who have experience with trauma therapy and/or interested in learning about and developing an expertise in speciality of trauma are also sought.
• GROUP THERAPY: We strongly believe in the power of group therapy for those in recovery from addiction. Therapists with experience in leading therapy groups and/or interested in learning about developing the skill sets to become an excellent group therapist are sought.
• SYSTEMS FOCUS: Finally, We believe in healing the entire family system, and as such are seeking therapists who have experience in couples therapy and/or interested in learning about and developing the skills to be an excellent couples therapist.

Life Balance Counseling Peoria is seeking therapists with the characteristics of directness, empathy, curiosity, authenticity, non-judgmental, self-awareness, strong clinical skills, rapport building, and ethics. Life Balance Counseling Peoria is dedicated to train clinicians with the skills to build expertise in treating clients in one or more of the aforementioned niches by paying for trainings, certifications, and opportunities for the experience(s) to build expertise & proficiency. Our pay is top notch, we offer excellent medical insurance, and we do a 4% employee contribution match on our 401K.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated, clinically astute, and team-oriented therapist who wants to focus on clients rather than the business aspects of private practice. Responsibilities

• Must be willing to work past 5pm at least two evenings per week.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions utilizing various therapeutic techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate & timely medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on best practices in mental health care.
