Life and Safety Consultants, Inc. has been operating out of Greenville, SC since 1997, leading the field in providing companies with expert environmental, health, and safety regulatory compliance, risk management, and comprehensive safety management systems.
Founded by Don Snizaski, a former OSHA Compliance Officer, our core business was rooted in OSHA compliance, but through growth and evolution our scope has expanded significantly. We now support industries including manufacturing, construction, healthcare, and transportation, with a reach spanning the United States as well as Canada, Mexico, South America, Europe, and the Middle East.

We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist for a 6 – 9 month staffing assignment with a strong potential to transition into a permanent role. This position will support safety operations in a primarily construction-focused environment, with some exposure to general industry settings.

Location Gaffney Spartanburg Region
• Conduct safety orientation training for contractors and visitors entering the site
• Perform routine safety audits and inspections
• Identify hazards and ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations
• Track, document, and follow up on corrective actions
• Support site leadership in maintaining a strong safety culture
• Assist with incident prevention and continuous improvement initiatives
• Minimum 5 years of EHS/safety experience (construction experience preferred)
• OSHA 30-hour certification required
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety best practices
• Experience conducting safety audits and managing corrective actions
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment

Hourly Rate: $40 - $55 per hour (based on experience)

● Ability to stand, walk, and work on active construction sites for extended periods
● Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs as needed
● Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
● Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and access elevated work areas
● Must be able to wear and work in required personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hat, safety glasses, hi-vis vest, and steel-toed boots
● Visual acuity sufficient to read documents, inspect work areas, and identify safety hazards
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
● Experience using safety management or incident tracking software
● Ability to prepare and maintain accurate safety reports, logs, and documentation
● Comfortable using digital devices and mobile apps for field inspections and audits
● Strong written and verbal communication skills for drafting safety communications and training materials
● Ability to maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for compliance records
