Job Summary:
LifeCare Ambulance - Memphis/Mississippi is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)-Basic to join our team of dedicated professionals. As an EMT, you will provide basic emergency and non-emergency paramedical care to the ill and injured, responding to emergency calls and transporting patients to medical facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide basic emergency and non-emergency paramedical care to the ill and injured
- Respond to emergency calls, performing medical services and transporting patients to medical facilities
- Continue to give care as necessary during the transport of the patient to the hospital
- Maintain composure in extremely stressful situations and assess medical situations to perform emergency lifesaving procedures
- Safely transfer patients onto and lift and carry stretchers into the ambulance
- Skills and experience incumbent to function with proficiency at the BLS level of service
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Tennessee Licensure as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)-Basic
- Valid Driver’s License with an F endorsement and with a good driving record
- Current CPR card
- Consent to a criminal background check
- Ability to lift/push/pull at least 100 lbs.
- PHTLS Certificate
