Core Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive critical care during patient transport, including ventilator management, advanced airway maintenance, IV medication administration, infusion therapies, and cardiac monitoring
- Use and management of cardiac monitors, ventilators, and IV pumps
- Collaborate with critical care nurses and online medical control physicians to develop and execute patient care plans
- Maintain unit readiness, including cleanliness and supply levels for critical care transports
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited Paramedic program mandatory
- Active Tennessee Paramedic license
- Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) certification, required by Tennessee regulations
- Valid driver’s license and completion of an approved emergency vehicle operations course (EVOC) may be required
- Current certifications in ACLS, PALS, BLS, PHTLS, ITLS, and NRP
