Summary

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. This role is essential in fostering independence and enhancing the quality of life for our clients in the community.
Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Assist clients in daily living activities, promoting independence and personal growth.
• Implement individualized care plans based on client needs and preferences.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and behavior.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to coordinate services.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to behavioral therapy and support techniques.
• Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the community.
• Foster a positive environment that encourages social interaction and engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Compassionate attitude towards individuals with special needs.
• Basic data collection skills for monitoring client progress.
