Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address individual client needs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and identify areas of concern.
- Educate clients on pain management strategies, physiologic responses, and recommended self-care practices.
- Maintain detailed records of treatments, patient progress, and health history in compliance with medical terminology standards and privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and ensure comprehensive care.
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere and addressing client questions or concerns promptly.
- Stay current with industry trends, occupational health practices, and new modalities to continually enhance service quality.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification.
- Proven experience in patient service, patient assessment, and delivering effective massage therapy treatments.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy.
- Expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques.
- Prior experience working in a med spa or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients.
