Library - Museum Associate II

The Museum Associate 2 will assist in the overall operation and support of the La Quinta Museum. Duties include participation in the Museum's exhibits and collections.

Hours per week: 24

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES

An individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.

• Provide quality customer service, feedback and recommendations.
• Assisting patrons and public with questions
• Promoting the Museum's programs
• Assist in the submission of Museum events to media outlets.
• Willingness to participate in exhibit creation and installation.
• Follow all legal and policy requirements related to patron privacy and custodianship of patron records.
• Other duties as assigned.

An individual should possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed and meet the amount of education, training and/or work experience required.

• Must be outgoing, customer service oriented and willing to adapt to a fast-paced museum environment.
• Have the ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Be a team player with a positive attitude and possess excellent customer service skills.
• Adapt to changing work schedule which includes evening and weekend shifts.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent carrying and lifting of museum materials is required.
• Position requires long periods of standing and the ability to push carts and lift boxes up to 40 lbs.
