The purpose of this position is to support the IT Security program for the Library of Congress. The incumbent serves as an expert Cyber Threat Analyst with responsibility for participating in the production of all source threat products pertaining to department computer network defense activities. As such, the incumbent applies a full range of threat analytic skills to monitor, assess, and report on foreign computer network operations capabilities and personalities that could pose a threat to the Library of Congress (LOC) computers, communications, and operations. In conjunction with senior analysts, the incumbent develops and/or recommends analytic approaches to problems and situations for which data are incomplete, controversial, or which no precedent exist.
