Permanent Part-Time Administrative Assistant
About the Role
Join our close-knit team at Library Design Associates, Inc., a respected interior design and library equipment firm with nearly 50 years of history. We're looking for a detail oriented permanent part-time Administrative Assistant to ensure a smooth transition, as one of our valued team members prepares for a well-deserved retirement.
This position offers a stable weekday schedule and is ideal for someone looking for flexible hours in a professional office setting. The new team member will provide support to our leadership/sales team and play a key role in managing administrative functions across various projects.
Position Details
· Start Date: Immediate with 6-month training overlap with current Administrative Assistant
· Training Schedule: 4 days per week, 4 hours per day (e.g., 10am – 2pm, hours flexible) Schedule to be reviewed after training overlap is complete
· Location: In office – Plymouth, MI
· Pay: $20-25 per hour depending upon experience
· Miscellaneous: ESTA PTO Included, no benefits
Key Responsibilities
· Transcribe and manage dictation sent by Sales team
· Order entry, order filing, email and phone communications
· Client invoicing, manage accounts payable and receivables, electronic bank deposits
· Structure proposals and manage quoting system entries
· Shipment tracking and installation scheduling
Skills & Qualifications
· Basic proficiency with Email, Excel, and task management tools (e.g., Asana)
· Clear and professional written/verbal communication skills
· Strong organization and attention to detail
· Ability to provide ideas and input on work flow improvement
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
· Experience with invoicing, payables and receivables management
· Prior administrative experience required
