Position Overview:
The Inventory Specialist will handle receiving documents for new items, manage item setup sheets, address customer discrepancies or damages, oversee rework projects with accessibility, and ensure proper bin maintenance. Additionally, the specialist will conduct cycle counts, manage bin sweeps, manage the sample room, and maintain accurate inventory records. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle receiving documents for new items, verifying accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain item setup sheets and update inventory records accordingly.
- Address customer discrepancies or damages promptly and effectively.
- Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Manage bin sweeps to maintain cleanliness and organization in warehouse/storage areas.
- Manage the sample room, ensuring items are properly stored and accounted for.
- Oversee rework projects with accessibility considerations, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines.
- Perform bin maintenance tasks, including labeling, shelving, and arrangement.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner, collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory management, cycle counting, and warehouse operations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Pay: $24-$27/hour
