Admin Asst to the Asst Principal - LHS - ANTICIPATED
Overview: The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support for the Assistant Principal and others as needed/assigned.
Reports to: Associate Principal for Teaching and Learning or Assistant Principal for Operations
Employee Status: Educational Support Professional - Assistant Principal’s Admin Asst
ESP Bargaining Union
Calendar: Twelve-Month Employee, 7:30am - 4:00pm
Qualifications: Education and experience equivalent to high school graduation
Professional/Personal Characteristics:
- Previous experience in an educational setting preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently under varying deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- Proficient with Google G-Suite, office and phone equipment
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in scheduling and maintaining the Assistant Principal’s calendar, appointments, meetings, conferences
- Process purchase orders and reimbursements, track account budgets and payments pertinent to the Assistant Principal’s budget
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethical behavior regarding information about students and staff
- Maintain the security of all confidential faculty and staff records
- Prepare letters, memos, reports and other correspondence
- Assist in coordination of school events
- Assist students, parents, staff and visitors in the Learning Support Team
- Screen telephone calls and visitors which do not require the assistant principal’s attention
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor(s)
