What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supplemental Instruction Mentor position at Liberty University?
Job Summary/Basic Function
The SI Mentor/Tutor Supervisor will directly supervise a team of online Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders/Tutors on a daily and weekly basis. The Tutor Supervisor will also assist students in scheduling appointments, help answer emails, address general student questions, and keep accurate and timely records of tutoring sessions. Additionally, the tutor supervisor will help set up and supervise the online scheduling systems for Online Tutoring Services, assist the director with administrative tasks as needed, and maintain open communication with supervisors, students, and professors.
Minimum Qualifications
- Self-motivated, dependable, and independent worker
- Experienced in leadership
- Capable of following written and verbal directions
- Works well and effectively communicates with students, faculty, and staff
- A higher education degree
- 2-4 years of previous office and administrative experience
- Native speaking and writing ability in Spanish and English, as well as thorough knowledge of Spanish and English grammar
This position is completely online and requires flexibility in completing various tasks throughout the week (Sunday-Saturday).
Note: This employee will work a maximum of 20 hours per week.
