The Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the operations of the office, ensuring the effective planning, execution, and completion of projects that enhance faculty support in teaching, learning, and professional development. This position involves coordinating faculty training initiatives, managing course implementation processes, supporting learning technologies, compiling administrative reports, and assisting with video and podcast editing to support office objectives.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and complete office projects efficiently, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards
  • Define tasks, develop time estimates, and set goals for each phase of office-related projects
  • Track and assign project responsibilities, monitor task completion, and maintain project documentation
  • Prepare regular status reports summarizing project progress, milestones, and key updates
  • Utilize a range of project management concepts, practices, and procedures to support project delivery
  • Facilitate collaborative planning efforts within the office, ensuring goals are met within set constraints
  • Verify that all work delivered meets acceptance criteria and office quality standards
  • Identify and escalate issues and risks to management in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Maintain effective communication between all project stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity
  • Address and resolve issues creatively as they arise to maintain project flow and quality
  • Act as a supportive team member, embodying and fostering the organization’s mission and values
  • Edit video and podcast content to enhance faculty development resources, providing high-quality media that supports the office’s mission and objectives
  • Other duties as assigned by CTE leadership.

Qualifications And Credentials

  • Bachelor's degree in business, education, technology, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Some experience with educational technology platforms, learning management systems (Canvas), and video and podcast editing software.
  • At least one year of relevant work experience in project coordination or management
  • Familiarity with video and podcast editing software, with experience in media production a plus
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • To obtain LU-approved driver certification, individuals must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid driver's license with a minimum of five (5) years of documented driving history, and maintain a clean driving record.

  • Effective project coordination skills to manage timelines, delegate tasks, and ensure project milestones are met in alignment with office goals
  • Strong organizational abilities to prioritize multiple projects and maintain detailed records of project progress, reports, and task assignments
  • Technical proficiency in educational technology, project management tools, and learning management systems, as well as familiarity with video and podcast editing software
  • Financial and administrative acumen to oversee project budgets, procurement, and reporting, ensuring compliance with institutional policies
  • Problem-solving skills to address project challenges proactively and escalate issues or risks as necessary, ensuring smooth project delivery
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate clear and professional interaction with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment and project clarity
  • Contributing positively to team efforts, and embodying the organization’s mission and values through support and teamwork.
  • Attention to detail in maintaining accurate records, quality standards, and thorough documentation for project-related tasks and deliverables

Physical and Sensory Abilities

  • May be required to travel to local and various campus locations
  • Will be required to sit to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard
  • Regularly required to hear and speak to effectively communicate orally
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building
  • Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop to conduct business
  • Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work Environment

The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled setting. It is well-lighted, and the noise level is low to moderate.
