The Postal Services Student worker performs tasks essential to the completion of university inbound mail sorting and delivering. The student worker must be able to help in areas where needed. This may include processing outgoing packages and cash handling. *Please attach your class schedule with your application* Essential Functions and Responsibilities 1. Assist in the sorting of all incoming student mail. 2. Assist in the sorting of all incoming student packages. 3. Process mail and packages with accuracy and efficiency. 4. Deliver student packages and letter mail. 5. Ensure accuracy and quality of sorted and delivered mail. 6. Processing pre-paid outgoing packages. 7. Provide students with mailbox information. 8. Answer incoming calls. 9. Answer mail related questions. 10. Assist with other LU Postal Service operations as needed. Additional information may be found here QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS Education and Experience Must qualify for the federal work study program. *Must attach class schedule with your application* Class schedule must work with required/needed availability. Well-developed communications skills. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of the United State Postal Service, UPS and FedEx. Ability to lift 50 lbs. High school Diploma required. Knowledge of Liberty University. Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment. Must be punctual, prepared, assume responsibilities, and ensure assigned tasks are satisfactorily completed.
