Responsibilities

• Prepare Personal Tax Returns: Accurately prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations. Experience preparing Schedules A, C, & E required.
• Prepare Corporate Tax Returns: Have an understanding on how to read year end income statement and balance sheet needed to prepare 1120-S & 1065 returns is preferred.
• Client Consultations: Conduct thorough client consultations to gather necessary information and documents, understand their financial situation, and provide tailored tax advice.
• Tax Planning and Advice: Offer proactive tax planning advice to help clients optimize their financial decisions throughout the year.
• Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, fostering long-term relationships with clients who view you as their trusted tax expert.
• Compliance and Continuing Education: Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and participate in continuing education programs to ensure the highest level of professional expertise.

Qualifications

• Certification: IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) eligibility is required.
• Experience: Previous experience in tax preparation is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; previous completion of a tax school or similar certification in tax preparation is a plus.
• Personal Traits: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to exceptional customer service, and a genuine desire to help others.
• EA or CPA designation preferred but not required.

Compensation

• Starting hourly rate ranges from $18-$25 an hour based on experience & ability.
