What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lot Manager position at Liberty Superstores?
Since 1963, Liberty Superstores — proudly owned and operated by the Patnoe family for four generations — has been serving the Black Hills of South Dakota and the surrounding areas. Job Standards & Responsibilities: Cleans and refurbishes new and used units. Conforms to dealership and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowances. This entry-level position is designed as a steppingstone for your professional journey, offering you the opportunity to develop your skills and grow into a technician role
Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Wash Units
- Operate the Forklift to bring techs' boats, unload units & parts
- Leave to get special parts items
- Help the Sales Manager in any way
- High Energy, and work efficiently without having to be supervised
- Washes and waxes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows,
- Vacuum the interior of units to remove loose dirt and debris.
- Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
- Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and/or various cleaning agents.
- Applies dressing to the tires and tire wells.
- Inspect vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation.
- Removes all window stickers on sold units
- Clean and organize the lot.
- Assistant Technicians
- Pull units back and forth from the lot across the street to their working area.
- Help get parts ready for the technicians.
QUALIFICATIONS: Necessary to adequately perform the job with no assistance.
- Level of education required –High School grade education. Communication skills (written and verbal) – moderate level required to interact with customers. Certifications required – driver’s license (current)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Seeing – required to drive vehicles. Bending – required when cleaning vehicles. Lifting – up to 30 pounds infrequently. Amount of walking required – majority of time is spent walking or standing. Adverse weather conditions – moderate/outside frequently in all elements. Noise Level – moderate/noisy.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Employment is contingent upon the completion of a criminal background check and motor vehicle report.
Working Conditions: Retail Environment: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m., and a day off during the week. A two-week total of at least 80 hours is required.
