💰 Hourly Wage: $27.00-$35.00/hour OT opportunities

📅 Schedule: Full-time | Must be available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, weekends, and potential overtime

What You'll Do:
✅ Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to plan and execute complex machining operations
✅ Set up and operate both manual and CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs) to produce precision parts
✅ Fabricate, repair, and maintain jigs, dies, fixtures, gauges, and machine components
✅ Use metrology tools (micrometers, indicators, CMMs, optical comparators) to ensure tight tolerances and quality control
✅ Repair worn or damaged tooling using welding, grinding, and re-machining techniques
✅ Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to improve tooling design and reduce downtime
✅ Program CNC machines using G-code and CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.)
✅ Perform heat treatment and material testing for tool hardening and optimization
✅ Maintain tool room inventory and traceability of custom-fabricated components
✅ Apply 5S and lean manufacturing practices to maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
✅ Mentor and support apprentice machinists and tool room trainees
✅ Follow all safety protocols including PPE usage, machine guarding, and lockout/tagout procedures

What We're Looking For:
🔹 Experience: 5 years in tool making, precision machining, or mold/die fabrication in an industrial environment
🔹 Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or vocational training in machining/tool making preferred
🔹 Apprenticeship: Completion of a recognized machinist/tool maker apprenticeship strongly preferred
🔹 Skills:
• CNC & manual machining
• Blueprint reading and complex drawing interpretation
• G-code programming and CAM software use
• Use of metrology instruments and quality control techniques
• Familiarity with heat treating and various metals' machining properties
🔹 Mindset: Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and self-driven with strong problem-solving skills
