JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Compliance Officer this position facilitates clinical and non-clinical personnel development and educational activities in accordance with federal, state and local regulations, accreditation standards, organization and departmental policies and procedures. This position reports to Compliance Officer.  

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion of a Registered Professional Nursing Program.  Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

1. Formal Training: Clinical competence in advanced nursing skills required.   

1. Licensure, Certifications & Registration: Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Georgia; BLS Instructor, ACLS Instructor and PALS Instructor certification required. BTLS Instructor and NRP Instructor certifications preferred.

1. Work Experience: Work Experience: Basic management skills with experience in planning, organizing, implementing, facilitating, interviewing, counseling and verbal and written communications.  Advanced skills in adult learning principles.  Intermediate knowledge of accreditation standards. Intermediate computer skills with word processing and spreadsheet capabilities.  Minimum three (3) years clinical experience in a hospital setting required.
