JOB SUMMARY
This position is for an HR & Payroll Specialist whose responsibility is to support a range of HR initiatives as it relates to benefits and payroll. Ensures compliance with employment laws and company policies. Provides support to employees regarding HR related inquiries. Manages FMLA and other leave types or issues. Coordinates benefits administration, including but not limited to education, enrollment and claims issues. Responsible for coordinating bi-weekly. Works cross-functionally, serving as a back up to recruitment and employment functions. The position reports to the Director of Human Resources.
Qualifications:JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum level of Education: Education level equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field. May be substituted if the candidate has at least two years of experience working in human resources.
Formal Training: Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong understanding of HR practices and employment laws as it relates to insurance, leave ADA and ACA. Computer skills required with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation capabilities.
Licensure, Certifications & Registration: None required.
Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in benefits and claims administration. Experience in healthcare setting preferred.
