What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler 3rd Shift position at Liberty Pumps?
Summary: Correctly assembles and tests pumps, systems, and related products to customer expectations using hand tools, testers, work instructions, and Bill of Materials while working in a team environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
Performs bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies per work instructions, Bill of Materials, and best practices.
Demonstrate ability to use electronic and pneumatic tools to build product.
Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Quality Department per defined reject process.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition to 6S standards.
Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment as required per PM requirements.
Operates both stationary and moving overhead cranes as necessary.
Operates fork truck or hand pallet jack as necessary.
Works at the directions of the Department Supervisor and Team Leads.
Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.
Participates in Team meetings and projects.
Works effectively in a team environment.
You will be expected to operate according to ISO 9001 requirements.
Held responsible and accountable to follow safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized work area, and use good safety judgment. Expected to report all unsafe activities and conditions to the Supervisor and/or Safety Representative.

Minimum Qualifications: Mechanical Aptitude
Education/Training: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); production experience preferred
